Question for the mods

I thought it weird that, if posted topics were locked on the first post, or made completely useless because of a stripped pastebin link, then why aren't they deleted immediately? Especially with locked forum games.

It's often easier to let the poster know what's going on by locking and leaving the post rather than deleting it and having to PM them. Unless they're going to receive a warning for it, of course.

It also lets others know that whatever caused the lock will cause posts to be locked
