I was playing on this one direwolf20 server that actually allowed computercraft. So when I opened a shop I thought of something that would bring more customers in. A slot machine. The prizes ranged from a gold bar to a nether star. Then people started wanting to buy a version of the program from me so they could play on their cc computer at their base. So I made a copy for that. So here's both copies depending on which you want.
The working version that gives out real prizes uses all 16 ProjectRed colored wires Here's how to set it up and some tips that I did myself.
Make sure to label the disk "SLOTS" without quotes and all caps or it won't take.
Make sure to edit a file in the disk ".slots" without quotes and also make sure you have the "." so the file will be hidden. If you want make another file called slots as a decoy.
Except for the very first line leave the file blank. Put how many tokens you want that disk to be so 10 would be 10 tokens/plays.
What I did was had all the chests with prizes in them underground and a retriever so I could have 4 slot machine rooms. Then the retriever would go to a dispenser and they could step on a pressure plate to get their prize.
Another tip is since the disk will be ejected after use anyway use a filter for disks and have them go strait back into the store chest shop.
Since each disk has it's own id i had to get the server owner to spawn in more so I could have more than just one disk in each chest shop as I sold 1, 5 and 10 token disks and until I asked him to do that I could only sell one disk at a time.
