Another DDOS? Is it the weekend already?
The administrators believe that they should regulate what we want on the internet.
These servers don't constitute the whole of "the internet". As one who doesn't pay their hosting fees, you've no right at all - moral or otherwise - to place "demands" as to how they be put to use. You've every right in the world to set up hosting for your own such server, though.
We filter out code with malicious intent for the same reasons as to why we filter out spam - to protect the users here. We're under no illusions that we can prevent such discussions elsewhere over the internet, but we're not going to pretend griefers aren't
dicks by helping them ourselves.

Handy exploit, perfect for injecting code via Rednet on Tekkit. Do you mind if I implement this into the beta OS we are developing?

If not though, it is to be understood. The purpose of implementation is to attribute to the rise of such a user as you.
You are a joke, right. If you think this lowly of CC, why would you bother making an OS for this mod? It's not even a real OS, it's a process manager with a GUI.
Maybe you'll get some attention on Reddit.
Also, I'm sorry I had to waste my 2000th post for such utter bullsh*t.

Considering that this thread has 9 posts now all of which have been made in relatively short time, there is a notable amount of attention here.

Allowing malicious code would probably do this:
- New people to CC will infect themselves, coz they have no idea that a program is malicious
- Closed source code, because people would be allowed to put string.dump()ed code here
- A lot of people who literally have no idea about coding and wouldn't have been able to program a virus themselves will just go ahead and infect people
So, does Anonymous want closed source and computer infection with viruses?
PS: And just in case that you don't know, DDOSing a server can have legal consequences

If the sites goes down on 420, I'm gonna be so disappointed, not because I won't be able to access the forums, mind you, ddosing the forums won't infer at all our ability to play the mod.
I'll be disappointed towards whoever kid is running this account.
I understand operations against terrorist, politics or whatever you want.
But here you are, quite literally making a real-life threat, just to have pretend viruses on pretend computers on a mod on a game.
That's a whole new level of dumb.

I'm constantly laughing at your comments. Jokes, all of them.
For one, Anonymous is no organization, but instead a collective. Anyone can be a leader.
Anonymous stands for freedom of the internet, including the most ridiculous.
ie OpScientology, which was provoked by the removal of a video of Tom Cruise. :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnIxUK2lHYMFor one, I am not 12 year old. 15, by far.

Not necessarily, but it did fulfill it's purpose: you took notice of it and you actually cared enough to respond.
And, what would you achieve by allowing malicious scripts on the forums?
DDoS the government?
Prevent gullible users from accessing their files from the in-game interface?
If you are 12 people why don't you have 12 accounts? Like Anonymous_1, Anonymous_2, Anonymous_3…
Here, have a good laugh instead trying to feel superior and important by threatening a small community that revolves around code for virtual computers. Also just to screw with anon and his freedom of speech and to spam these forums with useless scripts that can't even do real damage, I would close the thread.

Let me give an analogy or two.
When a country attacks another using bombs, who are the people who get hurt? The government who run the attacked country or the general population who live in that country? As a general rule its the general population who are harmed and killed by the bombs, not any of the government officials - granted they have to sort things out to maintain order but that is an annoyance when compared to death.
If we place Anonymous as the attacking country, the DDOS as the bombs and these forums as the country which is under attack. With that, the government becomes the administrators and moderators, and the general population become the general users. Granted no-one dies now, but users have the greater annoyance as they have no idea what is going on, where as the admins will have access to server bandwidth reports and know about the DDOS.
Analogy two:
In a public trading space with unsupervised children about, would you allow dangerous things such as knives to be among the items being traded? Granted knives can be useful tools when used properly but they can also cause a lot of harm.
With the public trading space being these forums, and the knives being malicious programs (which includes viruses). Would you allow young players, who may not be able to understand the code that they are downloading, to accidentally damage their in-game computer? I would hope not. You may have noticed that this analogy implies that a malicious program can be a useful too, id spoofers can be used maliciously but also have useful applications.

Hacking is about understanding the machine, how the mechanisms work on hardware level and software level. And then make it do things it was not designed to do. Going through source code finding ways to exploit.
Becoming a good hacker you should not need any examples or copy and past code. And you should certainly not attack a small group of people helping others out learning how to code in the first place.
Go, and learn assembly, how windows is programmed, dlls, or something.

Oh, you're fifteen…well, that changes everything. I'm curious, if this account is run by 12, why are *you* the only one using it? Do your parents know you behave like this?
When you DDOS this site, you'll effectively be censoring its content from all its users while giving the mods a day off. Clearly you don't have the slightest clue what censorship even means.
You and your 'message' have been cleanly rejected by the community, so who's the real joke here? The adults who understand, follow, and enforce reasonable rules of conduct, or the script-kiddie who was shown how to use Tor and OIC and now lashes out at strangers in anger because he doesn't even understand what censorship is?
With all the *real* censorship happening on this planet, you decided to focus on this site?!? You must get laughed at a lot.
And all this over pretend computers that you apparently don't even know how to program - sad :(/>

So, as you might have seen, no one wants your "help" here on the forums, we are fine with the "censorship"(Which isn't any as explained above by other persons). Just go and DDOS 127.0.0.1, that is something I would consider as help in this case.

We are a whole community against a puny group of "12" teenagers, that doesn't care about this rule…
Who's the joke here really, have you ever seen a group of teenagers whining to an security firm so that their AV doesn't detect their malware, it's the same kind of logic here.
If you want to go hack some in-game pretend computers, do like everybody has done here and look for vulnerabilities by yourself, instead of inciting people to spoon-feed them to you.
But please, do ddos the forums, see if you're willing to take the risk of doing something illegal, for absolutely nothing in return… chances are we'll not be revoking that rule because some teenagers wanted to.

Truth be told, Anonymous is noted for having no leaders at all. They're a bit like a box of chocolates. Never know what you're gonna get.
Not always an ideal way of doing things, but quite necessary for it to be what it is.

Little, eh? Well gee golly. Back in my day,
one person was considered enough to run an internet forum account, and even now I'm still able to manage mine on my own. I guess having eased into the process over the years, I never quite realised things had gotten so complex.

Greetings fellow CC users,
It has come to our attention that this account was misused by our former colleague, then spokesperson.
How so? The forum post demanding the removal of malicious scripts, as well as warning of a potential Distributed Denial of Service attack via Torshammer was not of true consensus between the twelve of us in CC Anons. Instead, it was the improper actions by an member of our CC collective.
Thereof, we apologize for the actions put forth by our user and the obvious discord that occurred as a result. We've reorganized ourselves, and now plan on being normal non-malicious coders on CC.
That being said, the first forum post is now rendered obsolete, as well as any comments posted by him during the period of time he remained in control.
This account will remain active, and we hope on releasing an OS within the next few months (Do not worry, nothing malicious)
Any questions? I, as the new spokesperson, will gladly fix the facsimile bridge that has collapsed between us and you.
To the diverse and (Not Lowly) CC community,
~ signed, MumbaiHHS
We all make mistakes, and ours was trusting people.

We (Do) forgive
We (occasionally) forget
I've posted this is Forums.
SIDE NOTE: We do know how to program these pretend PC's via LUA. Anyway, good sirs, hope this is fixed. The old spokespersons gone.

The thing where he says the user has been banned from the group. I want to believe them, but its very easy to just say that, so I highly doubt it and suppose it is a single person begging for a second chance, which I don't mind giving.

Ugh that this thread keeps appearing in 'my content' :mellow:/> Not Ugh :mellow:/>
python, lua, vbs, and dos
Apologies.
The thing where he says the user has been banned from the group. I want to believe them, but its very easy to just say that, so I highly doubt it and suppose it is a single person begging for a second chance, which I don't mind giving.
PS: post count matches current year!
Not banned, just unable to access the account due to a pass change. But your beliefs are welcome, and although it is not just me, we, that is my friends and I, are yes, looking for a second chance. Good to see someone is willing.

This is an interesting discussion and all, but why does it matter? It was a silly threat that had very little chance of being executed, and now the OP is an ASCII Guy Fawkes mask with a link to another thread. Is there anything left to discuss?
Live and let live, people.

SIDE NOTE: We do know how to program these pretend PC's via LUA. Anyway, good sirs, hope this is fixed. The old spokespersons gone.
You know what's sad about this post? You tell everyone that you can program CC computers, but don't even know what the language you use is called. It's
Lua, not LUA. It's NOT an abbreviation.
Also, writing "signed by ~" might work on paper, but online such a sentence is worthless :P/>

Don't worry about it guys. Just another twelve year old pretending to be a hacker 'cause he knows how to use TOR (and then lieing about sharing his account to try and remove his bad reputation afterwards).

I think this conversation has essentially run its course. No need to wail on OP further.
