Hey guys,

Thought this might be useful for some of you, after spending quite some time looking for a simple chunkloading mod i found one for 1.8.9 that works quite well.

You will need to install rebornCore as a dependency but it works well without being too late game for turtles.

I personally use FTB Utils, free chunk loading then (you add chunks to keep loaded via a map). Although it also has a load of other stuff which I have no use for (block protection and friends lists are not needed in single player).

Thank… you… SO MUCH!!!

I wonder why chicken bones skipped 1.8 entirely… maybe mojang's update speed is too fast and modders are struggling to follow.

Mojang update speed (I'm pretty sure) is not the factor here. There was more than a year between the last two major updates. I would think it is mainly Forge update speed. Shortly after 1.8 Forge was really stable Forge 1.9 development looked promising and most modders just waited for 1.9.
