The forum software considers a "line" to be a certain number of characters. I don't know what the exact number is, sorry, but you simply need to reduce the overall length.
Formatting tags are included in the count - you have a lot more control over these if you disable the rich text editor (with the light switch up the top left of the posting window).
Personally I ended up putting all my links within my profile page.
