So basically I was in the "Post your Internet Speed" topic and the guy who responded to me said that he lives in the UK and there is the best home Internet at 200MBYTE/s.

I thought that was unbelieveable as I live in germany and the fastest home Internet you can is 400MBIT/s. (Please tell me you know the difference)

Also most of the ISPs in Germany give you their package Speed in bit/s, not Byte/s.

So I googled some popular UK ISPs and found the Company "BT".
First of all I was kinda shocked that they still offer packages with limited download-amount (I'm talking about this for example: you get 200gb per month) but then I saw that awkward Thing: Speed (up to): 76MB

WTF??
For me (& probably most of my german fellas) does MB MegaByte mean.
That makes literally no sense for me? 76MB (Speed), ye… and what do you mean, like, Bit/s or Byte/s ?

If they mean Bit/s… wow then that's kinda sad, if Byte/s… the hell is going on in Germany?

Here's the package list I found: https://www.products...-packages#fibre

If you guys have another UK ISP site, Show it to me please.

Here's my german ISP (their package list):

Clear me up, senpai.

EDIT:
Just found out that US already has 1Gbit/s as home Internet, congrats lol.
Germany has 1Gbit/s only for phones and Business (fiber is also needed, which is fucking expensive anyways) I think.

8 bits = 1 byte

Unless the site changes it, try using ookla's speed test

http://www.speedtest.net

I. was looking at some german isps with the googles and it was telling me in Mb and not Mbits. Maybe its just you d:

The more popular isps are virginmedia (my friends use them aswell, the otherones re that good for low latency gaming), sky and talk talk.

Its funny that on the fastest prodcts virgin media takes like 24 of them…

There is 1Gbps however optic fibre and towns like mine… Ya, we aint got it xD

Did you click on the my link with the german ISP? It should say MBit/s if you scroll down a bit….

MB is megabytes, Mb is megabits.
I never heard that until now, and I think it sounds kinda silly XP
(I mean MB / mb / what the hell ever was just Megabytes for me)
