As seen in the title, I've tried setting various sizes of pictures at varying file sizes, most below 200 KB, but every time it tells me "Failed to set a new photo".

Does anyone have an idea as to why this is?

I've tried both jpegs and pngs, even a gif actually.

No dice. :(/>

Are you uploading, URL importing, or…?

Can you provide a link to your image? Just dump it on imgur or whatever if it's not online.

I have tried both options in that, still nothing.
Anyways, here's a candidate picture to represent my profile for now

The site uploader is indeed broke'd. Wonder when that happened.

Just for now we're limited to Gravatar.

I don't believe I've messed with gravitar at all. Ah well, thanks fer the confirmation. Now I can sleep easy knowing I'm not insane.

Couldn't have been too long ago - I updated some of the pics in one of my threads about a month (or less) ago. Here's hoping it gets sorted out sometime soon - I have a new pic for one of my threads I can't upload…

EDIT: turns out the pics I updated were from Imgur, not the forums :/

It's been a long time since this thread started, but this is happening to me too.
Can it be just on my end, and therefore, fixable? Or is the site uploader still broken?

Also, I wonder, does it work for anyone? (As in, is it the site? Or is it a browser-specific problem?)

It's a site problem. Only Dan can fix it, but he doesn't spend a lot of time around these parts.
