Hello!

I'm very excited about chest access feature for turtles. I hope there is someone from dev team on that forum, so he can answer me some questions. I'm just curious about how is this feature implemented and if ideas for my projects would work:

1. I assume turtle can't check for ID in chest? (like if there are any diamonds in chest)
2. Can turtle pick up any item from chest or just sequential? (like I want to move item from chest slot 12 to turtle slot 5)
3. Can turtle compare items between chest and his inventory? (like if is item at turtle slot 7 same as item at chest slot 6)
4. Can turtle move/compare stuff directly between two chests, each placed on another side of turtle? (like one on the left and one on the right)

these might be subject to change but:
1. currently they cannot, they can in theory however check waht items they have pulled out (by comparing against items in their inventory)
2. you cannot pick which chest slot
3. nope but as said you could pull out then compare and stick back in maybe XD not sure how well that would work out
4. not directly, no can only suck/place from front, top and bottom and then it still goes tthrough the turtles inventory

Please bear in mind that 1.4 is not yet complete and all the above could change depending on tester feedback.

you cannot pick which chest slot

Aww that is a bummer. My plan was to make restocking system, where there would be one only one main chest in my main base with stack of every important item. Turtle would detect if an item is missing from chest and it would automatically move it from storage.

So true… I trust they have a few disclosed things… ;~)
