CodeLand Survival

CodeLand is a public alpha server that I am releasing to let the public find bugs, and report them to me before the "official" release.

The server has been in development for a couple weeks so please excuse the fact that there may be tons of bugs.

RULES:
  • Hacking and viruses are allowed, however any exploit that will require restarting of the server is BANNED.
  • Use common sense.
  • Griefing is allowed, and there are no banned items.
CodeLand uses a custom crafted modpack which you can download by clicking here. This modpack contains a custom version of ComputerCraft prefixed with "CodeLand-" which should only be used on CodeLand. Do not join any other server that uses vanilla ComputerCraft while using the CodeLand modpack and vice versa.[Source Code]

IP: codeland.cf

Thanks guys, and remember to report any bugs you may encounter.

Just wondering what modifications you've made to ComputerCraft? Or is it just a build of the latest repo version? I couldn't see any obvious changes from normal CC, but I didn't look too hard.

Bigger computer screen size, so you can fit more stuff on it at once. It's great for code editing.

Also, the modifications to ComputerCraft are based off of CodersNet's mods to it, but there's another very minor tweak in it which isn't visible, but it's mainly a server-side tweak.

Great, good to know. Just FYI, if you're distributing modified versions of CC you have to make it possible to access the source. I couldn't see them on your GitHub (or Ale32Bit's), so I don't know if you've seen this or not. It might be worth making a link to the sources in the OP.

Okay, cheers. This is why I get the public to pre-test things rather than me, because I don't get these little things.

I actually modified 2 .class files. Yes, compiled .class files.

Anyways, going off topic with the ComputerCraft modified jar thing, we're getting it sorted.

You cloned the repo wrong, doesn't really help of we can't see the commits.

Who said that I cloned the repo?

I never forked it, because I actually couldn't due to a Git error on my side.

Nice. Might enter some time soon. However, I'll ask a thing: Can you protect your things? You said griefing was permitted, but anyhow, maybe there's some kind of protection.

Lewis hasn't been active on these boards for a few months, so presumably his server's also AFK.
