you know a iDevice has a recovery mode so itunes or any other program can change everything on the device. i was thinking of the same in minecraft, ComputerCraft. if you start it up in recovery mode you can edit the ROM for that computer only. if this will be implemented, there will be alot of new virusus( better ones not just fake ones that you see alot )
and alot of better anti virusus. my idea was that you like a iDevice can not do anything in recovery mode.

there is a peripheral in ComputerCraft the we call a "Computer" its peripheral functions are like startup shutdown reboot. i was thinking of an extra function that would get it in recovery mode and then that computer can edit the files of the computre thats in recovery mode. then just call shutdown from the external computer and when it boots it cannot edit the rom anymore.

edit:
Spoilerthere should also be a built in program that downloads the ROM using http_api(wich should be on by default i think) and it will "recover" nearby computer

tell me what you think and click the green little cute up button if you love the idea

thx in advance,

It'd just be better if you ask your server manager or check the files inside your saves folder. The problem with this is that it would have to be setup on a place where everyone can get to.. Its like making 2 copies of the files, which is not suggested (due to room on your/server computer).
