New member here; I've never used ComputerCraft, I don't have ComputerCraft; but I REALLY REALLY WANT IT. Problem is I'm currently updated to 1.3, and I've tried 13 times to downgrade my .jar file to 1.2.5 (successfully) and install ComputerCraft (unsucessfully.) I believe this is due to the recquirement that Minecraft be force updated before starting the installation process.
Now, obviously a mod as popular as this will be updated eventually, but when?

As said a Computer Craft version for MC 1.3 will be out once it's done. As you know there was a lot changed in MC 1.3 so it will take a few days maybe up to 1/2 weeks until the port is down but no guarantee on that.

Btw: You should be able to run the latest CC version 1.41 and also the versions 1.4 and 1.33 with MC 1.2.5
- Get a clear MC installation (1.3)
- Downgrade to 1.2.5 (http://assets.minecraft.net/1_2_5/minecraft.jar)
- Now install Minecraft Forge v3.3.8 in your minecraft.jar
- And finally drop the zip (CC 1.41/1.4) or if using with CC 1.33 the folder inside the zip in your mods folder NOT IN YOUR JAR!!

Well, I happen to have a 1.2.5 vanilla minecraft .jar.
Download This should work fine once you get all the other files to make minecraft run (Mod loader, minecraft forge)

I think I'd rather wait for a 1.3-compatible version before installing. I've tried the installation you guys suggested multiple, multiple times and I know I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure it out. I have my own 1.2.5 .jar, and I've done the installation process pretty much a gazillion times. I'm just going to wait. Maybe check out the computers in RP2 if they become 1.3 available.

i can give u a pre-modded jar and the only step you have to do is put the computercraft in the mods folder =D. well ill put link at bottom if u want it.
(has NEI installed also)

Both us and RPC are waiting for forge to update. As soon as forge updates we will work on porting to 1.3.1.

It is my impression that it is illegal to distribute minecraft base files. I would take the link down immediately.

yea, the 1.2.5 jars are fine because was posted on jeb's blog but the modded jar sould be taken down

Alright, I got Computercraft working (finally). I can't program in LUA though so I am having a bit of trouble XD
