I think it would be cool if you could work with the developer of IC2 and make it so that computers use IC2 Power. Also make it so that you can turn that feature on and off. (just like the http api).

Turtles already use IC2 fuels for their movement, but computers don't carry out any world affecting actions other than outputting redstone impulses, which normal redstone devices accomplish without any power source (aside from redstone or putative mechanical forces exerted by entities).

Well there's a difference between a redstone system and a freaking computer lol. I think this would make a very nice optional addition. It'd give me a really good reason to have more IC2 power.

Honestly… no. You could make something that works a lot like a CC computer in redstone (in theory), it's rather heavily implied to be redstone-based (recipes) technology, and redstone works without any apparent power source. Actually moving around should take some kind of fuel, though… and, well, it does.

All redstone signaling in MC works on internal redstone property to be activated or not. Computers are complex but still signaling only device. No need for external power.
On the other side Turtles perform some work. They need some power. It would be nice for them to be able to use other forms of energy, not fuel only. For example EU, Blue, pneumo… , just not magical Vis. :)/>/>
