Holographic blocks…. coming soon to a computer near you…

This weekend I should have a working beta up for everyone to test out and report bugs.

Current features
-Generate holographic blocks anywhere in the world.
-Blocks can be solid or allow you to pass though them.
-IC2 integration used to power the holo emitter
-GUI for viewing power use/storage when using IC2
-Simple lua API for accessing the emitter.

Planned features
-Buildcraft support to power using build craft engines.
-Alternating redstone current for power if IC2 and Buildcraft not instealled
-Allow add-ons for upgrading the emitter. Possible ideas are to have it use less power, make turning blocks solid require an add-on.

I was going to post some screen shots but then I relized you would be able to tell the difference of the holo blocks from a regular block.

To use the emitter it needs a redstone signal and if your using IC2, it needs power as well. To view how much energy it is using and has, right click on it.

***Change Log***
Preview 2
- Added GUI for IC2.
- Allowed powering via battery and allowed to pull energy out to a battery.
- Fixed bug with emitter not powering if placed next to an existing cable.
- Fixed power off bug when emitter runs almost out of power.

Place the zip into the mods folder. Also i am more familiar with this addon than anyone else as ive been playing with it for weeks before it was made public. Feel free to shoot any questions. XLC has been quite busy.

As for IC2 it isnt out yet for 1.2.3 so kinda difficult to use ic2 power as of yet haha

Sorry this is not updated to 1.2.3 yet, I will have it updated this weekend for sure.
It can be used with IC2 but it is not required. If you have IC2 installed you need to power it. I'll try and do a video this weekend as well.

Also extract the zip into the mod folder. Do not think it will work by just dropping it in the mods folder.

Working on updating this to minecraft 1.2.3, hopefuly 1.2.4 updates won't be out until after I'm done :(/>/>.

Dont skip 1.2.3 i havent bothered with 1.2.4 because the fixes are mostly multiplayer related nothing important and i dont want to wait weeks for updates again haha

What's the point of a CC addon requiring a redstone current? You can just generate it with the computer. And a range limit would be nice. Other than that, sounds cool!

No, i'm afraid this mod hasn't been updated for quite some time, and it was a nice addon, It was the 1st peripheral made for CC.
If you like to use it you would have to downgrade to MC 1.2.3 i believe. We haven't heard from xlilcasper for months now.
