Would really like to see turtles able to use furnaces, either using new commands to drop items to the input slots of the furnace, or by allowing a turtle to have a furnace as a perhipheral like they can crafting tables. Rather surprised this hasn't been suggested before, but I guess almost everyone using this plugin is also using buildcraft or some other plugin with pipes or other methods of automating furnaces.

On a related-but-tangental note, the current turtle-furnace behavior - dropping to the output slot - seems like a bug to me, since you can't normally put anything in the output slot of a furnace. In 1.3, this bug will become an exploit, since you get xp from taking most items out of a furnace's output slot.

Have you tried dropping them from the top?

… No, I have not. I will try that now. :trying: Nope, it just dropped it into the world.

Did you use dropDown()?

There's a dropDown? It's not listed on the wiki… :doublechecks: yeah, not listed on the turtle api page on the wiki. Just tried it, and it worked, woot! Thanks! Gonna add that to the wiki myself right now… I assume there's also dropUp for loading the bottom slot from below. :checks that: yawp. Excellent.

Thanks for the help! never mind about the suggestion I suppose, heh.
