Can anyone tell me how to close topics after they have been solved so people won't wast their time reading it?

It can't be done. Only moderators have the power to do that, and they like to keep topics up so people can search for their issues in old topics rather than posting a new one. If you need a thread moved or deleted, change the topic name to "Delete" or "Move (Somewhere)" and report it. These moderators are pretty quick to respond, this forum is well taken care of.
