As there are several players having 1.41 i think this bug is caused by a glitch in download.

You've installed it wrong. Not a bug. Post your ForgeModLoader0.log please so we can tell you what's wrong.

I get this error If I stick ComputerCraft in the mods folder as a folder. When I put it in as a zip, it works

It works fine if the folder name is just ComputerCraft or in the zip - but not if the folder is named anything else other than ComputerCraft or there is a sub folder in it.

Basically what I think Cloudy is trying to say (I can't guarantee that this is right tho :)/>/> ) is that CC is set up to work in a specific way, it clearly uses a specific path to access its files, if you change the path it is going to get confused. please conform to standard installation in order for it to work.

When it comes to your bug, I would change it to a suggestion asking that if they do not search for both ComputerCraft and Computercraft.zip to please add that functionality - allowing for more leeway in the format of the file

What? It works fine if the mod file is like /mods/ComputerCraft/mod_ComputerCraft, or if it is in the zip (regardless of name) as stated.

I am not sure why this is the case then :)/>/>

I believe it's because when I unarchive computercraft, it unarchives it to a folder called ComputerCraft1.41

The exact same thing just happened to me, for what its worth. It is quite natural to extract the jar under a versioned name, I would think, especially when it is the default.

Glad I could find this thread to fix it, thanks!
