Coalesced keyboard ideas

I've seen tons of posts for keyboards so u can give inputs to programs while watching a monitor without tons of awkward pressure plate buttons and wanted a post combining the best of them. So here it goes

1. Slab block in size
2. Connects to the computer directly behind it or connects with special cable like in redpower?
3. Freezes movement but not viewpoint
4. Crafting might be like bottom two rows filled with buttons and a redstone in the middle of top row
5. No Gui at all

For coding i don't know that much about how cc works since i don't know java and i haven't looked at any of the base code but could either trigger an event or could have a peripheral function like he modem's receive that checks for input from keyboard.

Except size and recipe but it's insignificant.

oh well i only found 1-2 posts on keyboards and they both said only a few of these things so i thought i would put both of there ideas together in one post.
