Great! If it was SMP, and you would run a server in the night, random people could come and put your light on in the middle of the night xD.

That is really amazing…. like trully epic, my questions off the bat would be.
#1 how much does the kit cost (does it come pre-assembled)
#2 how are you xferring the data from minecraft to the usb port? (a special mod you have written? a program reading from a text file?)
And for your "next" step. I saw you had 4 ports, so build a mock replica of your actual house in minecraft, then hook up for appliances too it. And show an almost splitscreen of you walking through your house in minecraft turning on the lights/appliances in your real house :mellow:/>/>

Wow truly amazing, I think you used LuaJava, didn't you?

It does work over SMP, so fun can be had by all.Great! If it was SMP, and you would run a server in the night, random people could come and put your light on in the middle of the night xD.
#1 The kit costs around $58. I'm working on supporting some less pricey devices. The kit I used is a very simple device to get up and running for your average user. http://www.phidgets....oduct_id=1014_2#1 how much does the kit cost (does it come pre-assembled)

#2 My ComputerCraft API is using the http function to send to a database on the internet. The computer that has the USB connected has a client running that is pulling the current database value to set the state of the relay.
On the Minecraft server, I am only using the ComputerCraft Lua scripting. My web server is running PHP and my windows client for running the relay is VB. I'm planning on making relay clients for linux as well.Wow truly amazing, I think you used LuaJava, didn't you?
My projects site is at http://minecontrol.info. My "how to" link is still dead. I'm going to make some from A to Z configuration videos.

Side note, I use the same interface to control my sprinkler system. I plan on making that interface controllable from minecraft as well. My plans do require the latest version of BuildCraft to be released for SMP.
I will have a ton of water tanks that will slowly fill. Once the tanks are full my sprinklers will turn on and the tanks will start to empty. When the tanks empty, my sprinklers turn off.

ah, damm europe again, for you it costs right now $58.20 plus about 10$ for shipping for me it is …
moment just figured out that this shop also delivers to my country .
Including shipping it would cost 93,63$, but if I buy it at the "local" dealer**, I would have to pay at least 110,05$ without shipping.
(them shipping prieses are so complicated that even they can't tell it. They mention a table [nowhere to find] and that it has to with the packing weight. And they want a additional handling and wrapping charge of about 1$.
And if send with UPS they want the UPS fee plus 11,15$ for invisible additional costs)
If you were me where would you buy?

Its ALIVE! You can now connect to my Micecraft server, flip the switch and (30 seconds later) watch my lamp turn on!
The video stream is at Minecontrol.info (Tested with IE and Firefox.)
The server is running TechnicPack 2.1.1, URL: link.minecontrol:25560
You might see a black screen for a sec, if so, just wait longer…..
