Maybe you have different IDS for the server and your mod.
In the server you might have the disk drive and wireless modem id switched so when you place down a disk drive on your computer the server will think your trying to place a wireless modem?

I'm having this same issue, SMP and I've looked through modloaders files for something that would cause it, both item IDs are the same in NEI when I look at them, and I can craft both separately but they both place as though they're modems. On the client side, there IS a modloader config file mod_ComputerCraft.cfg, and inside it it has the Disk Drive assigned the block ID that shows in NEI, but no blockID assignment for the wireless modem…I could easily change it if the client HAD a blockID assignment for the modem and if there was a config file at all managing blockIDs on the server side, but it appears it must be hardcoded somehow?

I heard this is a bukkit issue change the block id's in the bukkit config to the same as your minecraft client. I've only done it once and it worked ok.

No, the fix is updating your version of ComputerCraft on the server - it is nothing to do with block ID's.

Do you have permission to distribute those? If not I would change the links to a site that does.
This thread needs to be closed as this is a Bukkit issue.
