I was just sorta wondering about this. How do people feel about boat/minecart elevators?

Leaving aside the fact that it involves going through solid objects in rapid succession (which is not especially more unrealistic than the ability to carry a few thousand metric tons of rock, in my book), it just seems kinda…easier and faster than most other kinds of elevators.

Video games can't be too realistic, it ruins the game. (Example: I have some glass, a bit of stone, and a little bit of dust. I'm gonna make a computer pre-installed with 20 programs!)

How do you "cheat" in a sandbox game? However you want to play your game, play it.

I loved Minecart boosters. I mean the new tracks are cleaner and more flexibe by far but just the way people found a way to exploit a glitch to make such intricate systems. And the way Notch kept it (I imagine it was a trivial issue) until he added booster tracks, shows what Mojang use to be!
