What program do you use to make these? Do you do these by hand with something like Gimp or Photoshop?

If you start at the bottom x,y,z of the isometric image then you can just copy and paste these blocks, doing them z,y layer every x.
(if that makes sense to you, if it doesn't then never mind…)

I see how to do it now. Took a bit of thinking. Thanks for explaining it.

Don't tell me you seriously think GIMP is in any way superior to Paint.NET

GIMP IS THE WORSE NAME EVER (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻

Don't mind me, just your average MS Paint user strolling through. :P/>/>
I do like these though. Something with a higher resolution or larger size would be nice.

Paint.net is an advanced MS Paint, and GIMP is a simplified Photoshop.

Different purposes for different users.

lol I could bash that program all week (especially the win7 version :P/>/>) but I think in this case I will settle for respecting someone who can actually use it (provided you can use it effectively)

after playing for awhile you realize creepers are more annoying than creepy
so a smiling creeper makes you creeped out

this one i made last week
the hardest part was the drop shadow >_<

isometric pixel art is one up and two across
you cant make a equilateral like that :s
billysback #24
Posted 15 November 2012 - 09:19 AM
the third line looks like it should be brought along the z axis one more towards us, so that it properly joins up…

if I knew ruby script I would give that ago. making a script for a turtle model to follow around while saving pictures. I made the above in google sketchup and that can run ruby.

It's worth noting, for the GIMP bashers, that the entire Photoshop CS2 suite is now available for free from Adobe. It's seriously outdated compared to the current edition, but should easily outperform GIMP.
