As title. The time on the webserver seems to be 13 hours ahead of the real world. It is 2:18 PM right now in my time zone, and I have my time zone set in my settings, and it tells me the time is 3:18 AM tomorrow.

How are you retrieving the server time? If you are using your console, then tyhat might be a config issue or something. But if you go based off of what your computer tells you, I think it will only tell you the minecraft time or the cpu time.

Just realized what you said. I don't know how they get that info.
Mine says 11 hours behind. 3:24 am today

We were discussing this with Dan on IRC yesterday; for example, right now it's 7:25AM and the forums think it's 7:24PM. I don't know if Dan shifted the clock back like was suggested yesterday, but it's still out by somewhere between 10 and 13 hours. Timezones.

EDIT:

Just for clarity's sake, can you tell us what timezone you're in, your DST setting (+1h, 0, -1h), the time you're seeing and what you should be seeing.

Really annoying, it's sometimes useful to know the time a post was made, maybe shifting the personal timezone could be used as a temporary workaround.

I just swap AM and PM though, so. I think for the moment a personal adjustment is the best move, but telling them (Cloudy, Dan, etc) what you *should* be seeing is a good idea. Timezones, bleh. :P/>/>

I am using Bangladesh time on the forums for GMT -5, Eastern time zone IRL. This post was created at 5:15pm for me.

Huh. That's just the strangest thing.

I am in US Central, GMT -6. I am checking the server time with math, by subracting the time it tells me it is with my settings from the time it actually is.

It is quite strange that the time lapse is different for all of us. *blames DST*

Indeed; DST doesn't make working out how far off the time is. I'm still thinking 11 hours, though.

Time is out on the server. Your settings for the forum adjust the time closer to your time zone, but still wrong. Dan will have to contact the server host.

Wait.. I thought Dan was going to change the "Time Correction" field? Did that not work? D:

Test post so I can gauge the difference in the time zone.

Edit: Should be fixed! Let me know if it isn't.
