I would really do this myself if i knew where to start.

I am thinking of in a away, extending the GPS feature of the turtles out a bit. Being able to craft GPS 'Beacons' Which can be named/edited on a networked terminal. Then using a portable terminal (would need to be added also and perhaps a very limited os on it purely for messaging/gps) to follow a beacon which you set it to point you to. Also an idea along the same path is adding a GPS beacon which can be carried on your person, so someone with access to a terminal can view either a overhead map, or a scaled map with just features that stands out, or more simpler, a xyz pos or distance and direction? Let me know if anyone likes this idea :D/>/>

[Edit] also id like to ask if there is a scrollable gui for the terminals out there already?

This isn't *exactly* what you wanted, but it is a tool I made for "programming" computers to be GPS servers. Just put it on a disk as "startup" and insert it at any computer and reboot.
