Hi I'm Starza4TW, and I maintain a modpack called The Minecraft Ascension Modpack. Found here. I already am using CC, however, a question developed today. I wanted to ask a question about the use of the mod in my modpack, because the current license states:
I also give permission for ComputerCraft to be included in mod packs, provided that the ComputerCraft files are included completely unmodified, including all lua and text files.
However, my current modpack uses a custom Block ID system, which technically modifies text config files. Is the mod still allowed within my modpack? If not, the mod will be removed from the modpack right away. If it is, the mod will continue an normal in my modpack. Thanks for the help!

I'm not responsible for CC in any way, so keep that in mind. But I'm 99% sure that it's no problem. Config files don't even come with the mod download in the first place, so you're not modifying files in the mod. :P/>

Yeah, I would tend to agree with that matter, but I'll wait and see if Dan gets on tho check on it and I'll ask him. Thanks for the help though, and best of luck on OpenCCSensors!

If you're talking about distributing custom configuration files, I highly doubt Dan would have an issue with it - ComputerCraft has been included in many packs with custom configuration files. So long as you're not distributing changed binaries (eg, modifying CC), you'd be in the clear.

If you're still in doubt, play it safe - ask Dan.

I'm sure he or Cloudy will post on here soon enough.

Config files aren't included with the download… As a rule of thumb distributing config files is ok for any modpack.

Ok thanks everyone, CC will continue being used in TMAM. Look at it here.
