[1.4.8][SSP][Direwolf20] Crash when crafting 'elves'

When I try to craft an 'elf', the game crashes.
I don't know if this only happens on 25/12/12 or any time.
I am using the Direwolf20 modpack.

Removing it seemed to work.
This also happened when crafting a turtle with a ruby pickaxe.

Im running a SMP server with the Direwolf20 mod pack and we also have this glitch. I tried removing the folder "MiscPeripherals" from the server and the client but it remakes this folder every time. I tried removing the file MiscPeriperals.cfg from the config folder from the server and the client and that doesnt work. So I also set the system date to 12/26 for both server and the one I am running minecraft from. It still crashes. I cannot make turtles with this Direwolf20 mod pack. is this just having to do with the holiday changes or what?

As i said its a bug in miscperipherals. Nothing to do with any holiday changes.
