This is my second script I've made. It makes a complete bunker with bullet-proof windows and buttons so that you can install an iron door if you so choose. It is great for when you and your friends need a quick shelter to escape the bombing from your enemies planes, or you just need a secure shelter for the night! All you have to do is install a door, the "Insta-Bunker" program does the rest! Watch the embedded YouTube video on how to use "Insta-Bunker"!Install Guide(client):Navigate to %appdata%/.minecraft/mods/computercraft/lua/rom/programs/turtle.
Place the script inside the "turtle" folder.
-Note: You will have to save the file as "all files" not ".txt" and remove the ".txt" extension if there is one.
You're done, it is now available on every turtle you place!Install Guide(server):Navigate to [your server folder name] /mods/computercraft/lua/rom/programs/turtle.
Place the script inside the "turtle" folder.
-Note: You will have to save the file as "all files" not ".txt" and remove the ".txt" extension if there is one. You're done, it is now available to every turtle that is placed on your server! How to Use Video:http://youtu.be/vkOLh0fugwQ?hd=1Download Link:http://www.mediafire...9t31vz1a6oqb3t1Legal: This program is free to edit, and redistribute the edited version. Please do not redistribute the current version posted at the download link without my written permission. If you do use this base code for a project of yours, I would appreciate credit for it. Enjoy!

I wouldnt call it insta.. lol
and again its very simple …. no need to copy
and I would love to make one which makes a factory but there is already the blueprint things in buildcraft so the whole concept is pretty useless here

Amazing, i can make other programs from this! :(/>/>
Please don't. See legal section of my main post…
The whole point of using Lua in CC is so that people can learn programming.
Good luck enforcing your 'licence', and I'm sure a few people will avoid helping you when you do this.

There isn't anything to learn from his code though… from what I have seen of this program, it could be reduced to a dozen for-do loops, and done in 1/10 the amount of lines he used. While impressive that he had the patience to copy paste all that stuff together, it isn't an example of programming. Just a bunch of "move forward, place block, move forward place block, turn right"
Well…I guess you could learn what not to do, but I didn't learn anything about lua by looking at the code for this thing (I was kinda hopin' to see something similar to the 3d printer idea). [media]

The only licence I'd slap on my creations is this one:

it's not because of your program, it's because of your license. What did Espen do wrong? He only said what license he is using, I don't know how's that criticism…
Make your license more available to people (i.e. more liberal) because this program does nothing that much better than all others to lock it with such a license. Note that I am not criticizing your skills, only your attitude towards sharing stuff. This is the only (major) reason why you get negative feedback only.
Also, IMO, mod/admin should first be fair, not positive.

You guys have a GREAT community here…NOT! Im so f****** tired of everyone here judging people programming skills and practicly making fun of them based on their abilities! I have never programmed in my life and all the posts on this thread are just critisizing my work! Is it really that hard to refrain or say something positive? Your community leaves little to be desired. How would all of you feel if you were the one who made an amateur program ahnd everyone decided to only give you negative feedback? Especially you Espen, i thought that being positive and encouraging was in the job description for moderators.
Admin/Mod please lock this thready from posting.
You are receiving this backlash because of the (wording of the) licence you used, as Liraal has posted; This is about learning, and having fun in the process.
I don't see why you got so upset.
I'd imagine that most of the people posting their programs here make 'amateur' programs.
In the end, if you do not like the community, no one is forcing you to stay.
For your 'what if' scenario: I'd take the feedback (which was perhaps not very encouraging, but it was constructive) and improve, and not take anything too personally, since this is the internet, after all.

@ironsmith123:
I'm sorry if the wording of my post gave you that impression, it was really not meant as a commentary directed at you at all.
It was more a response to Advert's post and I was actually trying to lighten up the situation by referring to this hilarious WTF licence, which I'm using myself.
Now, I'm aware that after all this heated back and forth you feel very discouraged and I guess it will be very hard to regain your motivation.
There are all kinds of people in here: Old, young, silly, serious, experienced, unexperienced, etc.
Someone is bound to say something that another person finds inconsiderate and vice versa. Even though it didn't mean that much for the one saying it, or it was meant in a different way. Especially with only the written word it's hard to express the exact meaning of something. In RL you have tone of voice, facial expressions, etc. Here you only have smileys and you can emphasize some words.
So what I'm trying to say is: Don't take things too personal. If someone says something in a very inconsiderate way, ignore the way he's saying it, but instead listen only to the information he's trying to convey. And if you still don't agree with the information, regardless of how he said it, then answer politely and at the same time tell him to be more considerate the next time.
Because letting anger show in your posts will definitely not make the other person suddenly answer in a nicer way. If anything it keeps the fire going and you'll even attract people who like aggressive debates.
I agree that it doesn't seem fair when you feel someone else just bashed you. But in the end, the way you react to that determines how the rest of the conversation will unfold.
Having said all of that, I don't have any gripe with you.
I personally don't licence anything, that's why I'm slapping the WTFPL on my creations, especially because of its hilarious content. :)/>/>
EDIT: Wow, just noticed how long this post has become. Sorry for the potentially tl;dr inducing property of it. :(/>/>

I appreciate your posting and I agree completely with what you said. Yes it is discouraging, but I am capable of handling these situations differently and for some reason I chose not to. Thank you for your reply.
Sincerely,

your insta-bunker is cool but i think i stuffed it somehow :)/>/> it was built retarded i gave it heaps of cobblestone :(/>/> it didn't look right can you upload a screenshot of what it is meant to look like
Watch the video I linked to post, it shows ahow its supposed to look.

I like this code help a lot for insta build nuclear chambers and tower floors, I m totally noob about coding, and I sadly can´t spend correct time to learn something.
I know about sometimes is hard to find a constructive criticism, not angry responses and easily offenden people even the coment are not directed exactly to then. Just go into the MC forum CC thread and look the responses I get for a suggestion (not a edict or terrorist demands).
I was suggesting (as a noob and yeah ignorance cause I searching someone remove in polite way, cause I speak polite), I was talking about if are possible make CC compatible with other user friendly languages as like with lua. I don´t get a response like " no, sadly is not possible because are hard, and for "X" or "Y" reasons at the moment, are not possible make alternative scripting with other languages apart of lua", I get a really inmature response (check MC CCthread).
More in the topic, if for example is possible the turtle don´t care in wich slot inside his inventory the resources are? (I don´t know that why I making a question), and the turtles can go to a container and get more resources?.

If cause you need put the resources in exact slots inside turtle inventory cause it don´t recognize "exact ID" or name for blocks, just move the scroll and try to rezz the block.
Edit: maybepossible blueprints coordinates would be epic

Sorry, but I'm not a very advanced coder. I would take this request to suggestions or requests area of the forums.

I am removing my license due to popular demand. If you wanted it to be removed that's all you had to say instead of spamming my thread about how I shouldn't have a license and saying useless things.
Right, I'll clean up your thread this once. So try not to do stuff that causes people to react this way in the future :)/>/>

Insta-Bunker… Blueprints…..
This just inspires me to make a turtle that creates a floor pattern based off a file that is coded like this:

On the license issue… honestly, that sort of stuff goes without saying, usually. The way copyright works is no one can use it by default, but it is not really enforceable at the personal level, so usually, you just ask permission before you fork and redistribute. However, if you actually want people providing detailed feedback and patches to your code, I would recomend something more like the
http://sam.zoy.org/wtfpl/ license. Share code to better solve common problems, and people will generally respect you. Copying is a compliment, and most people will credit you if you ask politely.
There isn't anything to learn from his code though… from what I have seen of this program, it could be reduced to a dozen for-do loops, and done in 1/10 the amount of lines he used. Dunno about you, but I know I started programming that way. Try to give positive feedback and explain HOW to do things, so that he can improve, such as "Store your design in some kind of file, then write a program that reads the file and builds it, so it is extendible. Here is a neat example."

if you give us a pastebin link instead of navigating folders you could just run "http/pastebin get xxxxxxx bunker" on any computer, also works in SMP if you dont have access to the server directory
