advance routers with longer distance.

I would like to see advance routers with longer distance, NOT INFINITE but may be double, or triple.

normally you would just change the config or make a satellite .-.

Advanced routers would have to do a little more than have an increased range to be justified.
Bare minimum they should support channels, ie I do a rednet.broadcast on channel 4 and only computers on channel 4 pick it up.

Edit the config file if you want a longer range

That not quite what I want. I want to have to work harder to get longer range.

Then work harder and make additional router.

One thing that was suggested was a way to launch computers into orbit - this way they'd be higher than 255, with proportionally more range.

Yes. But the best thing I like in satellite suggestion is the ability to make your own constellations. ;)/>

E is for EnderChest.

Yes, you could put a turtle next to a disk drive and an enderchest, but that requires other mods.E is for EnderChest.

Enderchests were added into vanilla in 1.3 or 1.4 (I forget which one)

Thouse Enderchests would not work with turtles. Original (modded) only,Enderchests were added into vanilla in 1.3 or 1.4 (I forget which one)

Yeah…I was just being obscure. I do that sometimes.
Really, I don't see the problem with changing your config or using a mod. This is a functionality that, to be generally useful, really does require chunkloaders anyway. Which is yet another mod…so perhaps we should be suggesting that there be chunkloaders, perhaps as a peripheral (so that a computer can turn off it's chunk loader when it's done with stuff).
Wait…did I just come up with a suggestion, or an example of something that I don't suggest? It's really close to the threshhold, I feel. Still on the side of "not a suggestion", though.

What? Dan and Cloudy made it so turtles can't interact with vanilla enderchests, but they can interact with modded enderchests? Bug? Intended?

Mojang Enderchests do not have own inventory. When player open it, player's hidden inventory shown.
ChickenBones's Enderchests (most of them) have special color coded inventories, available to access.
Nothing, Dan or Cloudy can/should do here.

Well, they could try and make it so that turtles were able to access the fake-player inventory (if there is one), but that would be pretty useless for multi-player (or perhaps just hilarious?).
There's a transworld matter/data transmitter mod, I don't know what it's update status is.
And if you don't want to use a mod, then just bump up the max range at altitude in your config. I really don't see what is gained by adding/coding a new block here.

This topic just keeps getting stupider and stupider. Closed. Once I get back to my computer.

But why wait when it can be closed now? :)/>
