Turtle Range?

I send my turtle in a long trip with my gps and i think it get lost, my question is: the turtle desapear if you arent in the same chunk or i made a mistake in my program. (The program was check the position once, input cordinades, go to cordinades use saved first position and go back)
Please help

it stops working once it gets to an unloaded chunk i think.

you mean unloaded or inexplored i already have explore the destination chunk

when i say 'unloaded' it turns out i often mean unloaded (sarcasm alert :(/>/> )

Unloaded means exactly that - the chunk is not loaded.

It isn't easy to fix this without forcibly loading chunks I'm afraid - and that is bad practice.

If you are in singleplayer -> Chunk unloads if you close the game/save the map. Reload it with going into the unloaded chunk/near it. On SMP the chunks unload if nobody is near/in them. so you have to stay in the chunk

Or maybe the poor turtle wandered too far away from the GPS and lost the signal. It must be in a 64 block radius of minimum 3 GPS hosts.
