Title: Read Only Memory
(My English is not very good)
Hi, is it possible to save a program on a disk, so that you only can read it and need a password to edit it?
Thanks for the Answers :D/>

This doesn't meet the stated criteria–the file can no longer be read either.

Or unless you rewrite os

This doesn't do you any good, since he's trying to protect files on a disk from being edited by any computer, so modifying the computer used to write them doesn't help.

With encryption you would ofcourse need a uncryption program as the key

Encryption wouldn't help here, it only makes the file unreadable (you can open it to read, but it would be useless without the decryption algorithm and key), you can still write to it.
