[Lua] Advanced Monitors Touch Screens

Hello all im new here and likewise to computer craft. I have written a few programs but the program that i would like to make is much to advanced for my skills. Im not looking for anyone to write my program but if someone could point me in the right direction as I would love to learn how to do this. So what im looking to do is create a touch screen with the names of the all mob and when i click on them the background text will change from red to green incating that it is on also I want to send a signal up an bundled cable and turn on the appropite mob spanwer.
