Alternative to Bundled Cables

Ok so CC has been updated to work with 1.5 and has a load of really cool features that I want to play with but… RP2 is out of date and from what ive herd it could be until 2.5 of MC comes out!(This is not a fact just an example of the long time between updates for RP2)

So does anyone know of another mod that has "atleast" a replacement for bundled cables as they are darn useful.

and no, there are no replacements. i think i remember one mod that attempted it, but it was REALLY bad.
