So, the above. I'm trying to make it so that the wireless range is drastically increased, so I don't need to keep dozens of relay stations in line. The catch is I don't know -what- values to edit. I found two sets, one under "GENERAL" and one under "ITEM."
Do I need to edit both? Or just one? Are there other things I've missed? Note that this -is- for a server.
[edit] additionally- is there a way to edit it so that all the players see lime green text for the 'basic' terminals?

Should be all the ones that say "distance" or modem distance

I:modem_highAltitudeRange=384
I:modem_highAltitudeRangeDuringStorm=64
I:modem_range=64
I:modem_rangeDuringStorm=16
these four values control the modem distance

Modems have a greater range when placed up high, which is why many people make gps "satellites"

Hm. Interesting idea. Sadly this is a snow biome and it'd show really quickly if I had a 'sat' up high. XD

le snow biomes be crap, the only good thing in there are wolves, tonnes of them! I have my pet pumpkin, he never pushes me off cliffs, never asks for food, and never eats my sheep

Well, basic terminals offer no color compatibility, so, without editing the mod itself, no.
Don't edit "lua\rom\programs\shell" in the ComputerCraft mod zip file, or you'll get a digest error I think. Don't remember.

Dang. This is supposed to be a 'fallout' themed world, and green terminals would REALLY help- and using those advanced terminals just isn't the same. The color looks wrong. :(/>

You can make a texture pack?

A texture pack wouldn't edit the computercraft interface color, would it? Not the little white blinking bit, I mean the actual output text.

nope, you can only edit the font
the only way to color is through the term API
unless you want text to look really weirdly colored i wouldnt suggest you add custom colors to the font file
