Hello, I'm new to Lua programming and am finding it difficult to find what I'm looking for and understanding the stuff I do find. Specifically I'm looking for a program not entirely unlike FunshineX's Red States vs Blue States but significantly less complicated.
The Project: A tactical map (an advanced monitors paint file) that can change "area" colors via terminal input. The monitors will display the map and a nearby computer terminal will control what zones are colored what via selection menu and key presses ie: "Press E to Toggle Zone 3"
The Request: Any reference material, any similar programs, or tutorials I might learn from. I've tried searching to no avail and the stuff I've already found is either not relevant enough, too specialized, or aimed at highly experienced and technical computercraft programmers and therefore no help to an idiot like me.
Please excuse me if there is some obvious tutorial or program that I've overlooked. In the meantime I'll continue my search of Google, The Computercraft Wiki, and these forums.
