i've looked everywhere but cant figure out why i cant use my turtle, i wanna stripmine, but it wont work

The description "won't work" isn't very helpful. What, exactly, are you doing and what is it doing? Try crafting a new computer, placing it, right-clicking to open the interface, and typing "ls" and hitting enter. What does it output?
