I saw this on the CC wiki and I'm wondering if there is still a turtle fake player. I remember seeing somewhere that Turtle FakePlayer is gone.

Last I heard, it was still in CC, but disabled by default. However, someone's just taken the liberty of editing it out of the wiki page completely just now, so I'm not sure.
Psst! Whoever did that, please put it back and explain what the current state of the feature is! If it's gone, then stating that is a lot more informative then leaving a black hole in people's understanding instead!

Yes, I saw that (hence why I didn't blame lieudusty for his dead link), but I don't know who "AfterLifeLochie" is. I assume he read this thread, though. ;)/>

AfterLifeLochie is the person in charge of the wiki. he is a web genius. yes he would have read this thread.
as for the FakePlayer, there is still a player, hence if a turtle kills you it says "<player> was killed by ComputerCraft", but iirc it is not the same as the old bukkit FakePlayer.

Turtle FakePlayer, IIRC was there so a server owner could set permissions for turtles. As the post above mine states, the current FakePlayer was a bukkit implication. The turtle still counts as a "Player" in some terms, once again as theoriginalbit stated, the death messages. Newer instalments of computercraft don't have the fakeplayer because most servers that host Computercraft are running something from the Technic Launcher, and everything there besides Tekkit Classic no longer has Bukkit support.
