Writing to rom folder.

Me and my friend are working on an operating system together and we just happen to need to create files in the rom folder. I was wondering if it was possible to create a folder in the rom from a computer in game. Each time I try to use mkdir to write to the rom folder I get Access Denied.

Thank you,

Split into new topic.

ROM stands for read-only memory, so of course you can't write to it. You can use resource packs to add files to rom, though.

Hint: You don't actually need to create or edit files in the rom unless you need your software to be on every computer on the server by default. Easier to transfer via floppies, and not requiring rom edits will make your OS more likely to be used.
