Hi all.

I'm just wanting to know if, with a pastebin account, I could create a public entry (under my user) and get that onto a computer using the pastebin 'executable' in-game? The reason I ask is, I would like to be able to have the program I'm making on pastebin, but be able to update it as I develop it. Then people can simply re download the most up-to-date version.

That's all, thanks in advance. :)/>

Do you mean download it from your account to your in-game computer? Or upload it?
Both is highly possible, Downloading would be a piece of cake, You simply run pastebin in the in-game computer and download it with the paste id

pastebin get <Paste ID> <Filename>

Uploading to a specific account.. Well that's trickier.. You should check out SmartPaste by Cranium. ( I think it's called SmartPaste ) And try to use that.

Oh, no, I don't necessarily mean uploading to an account from in-game, I just wanted to know if you could download a paste that actually belonged to an account (but obviously set to public). But you've already answered that, so thanks! ;)/>

You see, I'm making a fairly advanced chat program called Factionet and I want to be able to easily update it from outside of Minecraft. You can edit a paste after you upload it, right?

I Believe you could use Dropbox and download from it, the advantage being Dropbox updates your files for you always keeps latest version
