Extended modem range, still getting errors

Heyo there,

I have a Tekkit server and I've used a slightly modified version of NitrogenFingers' Email client/server programs on my server.
As I wanted this to be inter-server, I've put a world anchor at spawn (Where the servers are) and in the config, I've extended the modem range from 64 to about ten million - I thought that to be enough.

Now, I can send emails to and from computers at spawn and in immediate vicinity to the server, so the program's working and so is the server.
But I'm now trying to set things up at one of the mod's house and all I get is an error and when I check the server, it doesn't say anything about any new messages, nor does the client I'm sending the email to.

Any ideas how I could sort this out without making a big, ugly tree-network of computers, acting as repeaters?

Thanks in advance.

Try to lower the range a bit, if it's too high, rednet won't work at all.
I don't know the exact number, but I'm pretty sure your map doesn't need to be ten million block large :P/>

The world is 32m blocks, don't you think 10m modem range is a bit over-the-top?

If the number is too high, I believe it simply caps it at the actual maximum the mod is willing to use, rather than simply failing entirely.
