Can You Detect Exact Player Coordinates?

I have an idea for a long-jump minigame and was wondering if it was possible using CC and OpenPeripherals to detect the exact position of a player when they land?

I can setup the game in a rough way using pressure plates to see which block they land on, but in the case of a tie, would be great to see the exact coordinate to see who landed furthest.

Am thinking this is not possible, but can't hurt to ask! Thanks!

I don't remember how exact the openP sensor is, but i know the ocs sensor has 2 decimal points. Just set one up and see.

if you infect a pocket computer from the latest beta build with a virus that gps locates and sends the data back to a computer, then yes

Computercraft 1.6 is coming out shortly, with PDAs. Those would probably be the best option, good range if set up right.

The last reply in this topic is over two months old. CC 1.63 is released and 1.64 is in public beta.

Why does it has to be called a "Virus"? Can't it just be a normal program that does what the user wanted? I mean, virus are made for bad purposes and the user normally don't get that it is a virus.
