I've made my best to find any topic related information here and elsewhere with weak results only. Let me sum it up:
- computer craft ignores any plugin based area protection (Residence, …), simply because plugins dont "cooperate" with forge mods.
- CC turtles have name [ComputerCraft] that can be used as a name in permission config (???)
Not much information around… :-(
So, is any way how to protect some area against turtles in SMP ? Any mod ?

I would outright just disable turtles.
And make every computer have a few prebuilt programs and you cant write your own unless permission, prevents server crashing.

If you have a permissions plugin, simply add a permission node to a player named "[ComputerCraft]" that disables building in protected areas for the plugin you're using.

Might as well disable the mod entirely, at that point.

I use this system for my server, Basically nobody uses it for advanced stuff in tekkit, so I made all computers have pre-made programs like a password door(most commonly used as)

Im not a fan of it personally, but Silence's idea does have some merits. You could set all computers up with something like a redstone PLC type program, a chat program maybe, and the default games. It would be an unique approach to be sure, though again, not a server i'd play on.
If you have a permissions plugin, simply add a permission node to a player named "[ComputerCraft]" that disables building in protected areas for the plugin you're using.
They can still break blocks though, which is probably the biggest issue.

ok, so the effective area protection against turtles is not possible in fact, right ?
Thanks.
Note: I wonder why is this problem so overlooked (it seems to me). Area protection is a key feature for multiplayer servers. Every serious mod/plugin should respect it. Is it technical problem (not possible to do it) ? Or are all CC players singleplayers only ? :-(

Some of us manage to get on with other players without artificial enforcement.
