Hello there! I apologise if Ask A Pro isn't the right place to ask this question, but I've been quite curious - What modpacks would you recommend for an ideal ComputerCraft experience, if any at all?
Right now I'm using a slightly modified version of Feed The Beast's Tech World 2 - I added Rei's Minimap (because I can't live without that), removed ArmorStatusHUD (because I -can- live without that), and updated BigReactors and ComputerCraft to their latest versions (because in the default Tech World 2 they're still on old versions for whatever reason, despite FTB Monster having the latest ones). I used to use Tekkit 1.6 which had everything the way I liked it, and kept things simple by focusing primarily on Redstone Flux for power, but I figured it'd be a good idea to ask you folks what you'd recommend!
Really, the things that take priority at the moment are ComputerCraft (of course) and BigReactors (Because while playing about with ComputerCraft on its own is super fun, being able to use it to control a nuclear reactor is ridiculously awesome, but BigReactors systems are the ones I actually know how to use). I've also got a preference towards tech rather than magic, partly because the big magic mods like Thaumcraft are more often than not lag-tastic on my computer, and add a looming presence of doom in the form of flux/taint, I don't like.
Now, before I go any further, I want to state that this is not a modpack launcher debate thread - I'm open to all modpacks, be they ATLauncher, FTB or Technic (Technic's a bit of an odd point for me since I don't know the full story behind what's up with them, but if you want to help clear me up on that one, we can discuss it over private messages, not here). All I'm asking in this thread is that you recommend a pack, or tell me if you think it's better for me to just stick with Tech World for now, and explain your choice!
