Overwriting term with os.run()

I know, I know. Many questions from me today. It's Sunday: Dev Day!
I am writing an xterm-like app for my OS and need to overwrite term. I thought this might work:

but, as you can see by me posting a question, it doesn't. It does this:

I know my coroutining might not be optimal, but unless it pertains to this please don't complain :D/>
BTW: the shell is a modified CraftOS shell: that's why it says CraftOS 1.5 (1.5 because emulator no be updated and so now all CWCOS installations have 1.5 shell)

Why do you need to overwrite the term api?
