Automated mining turtle

I'm running tekkit classic and am using computer craft version 1.33. I would like to have a mining turtle mine out an area and then deposit all of what it has into a chest or set of chests and then move along a few spaces and repeat the process. I have some experience with lua but would like to learn more so if anyone could explain the code that I would need for this and what it does it would be much appreciated.

This is simply not possible without an additional mod. The version you are playing in is far too old. One of your better bets is to have the turtle spit the items out at an obsidian pipe from Buildcraft or something similar. I'm not even sure what kind of behavior the built-in programs have in that version, or indeed, if they are present at all. I'd suggest updating to something more recent, like a 1.6.4 pack featuring CC 1.57 or 1.58.
