I just wanna find out but if a wireless mining turtle is out of range will it continue to dig or stop?
If they do stop when out of range is there an alternative to increasing it to reach bedrock?

Thanks

It depends on how the user programs them.

The wireless turtle on its own, if programmed directly and is not given direct lines of code from elsewhere will continue to work even outside the wireless range, as they have no fuel source to speak of.

However, if you are controlling a turtle remotely, then once it exits wireless range, it will simply cease movement once it has carried out the last uploaded order.

Similarly, if you program a turtle to go into an unloaded chunk, it will stop once it crosses over (though this functionality will change soon, apparently).

So, in short, the easiest way to make a mining turtle fo to bedrock is to directly program it to. Possibly the easiest way is to make 1x1 shafts all the way down. Basically, check for down movement, if cannot, dig down then move. Count how many blocks down it goes. Once it hits a block it can not mine, it returns to the surface, using the counter as a for-loop goal.
