Problems with installing CC 1.7

I am having some problems with the installation of CC 1.7.

Whenever I put CC 1.7 in the mods folder and remove CC 1.65 Minecraft says: Forge Mod Loader has found a problem with your Minecraft Installation. The mods and version listed bellow could not be found: ComputerCraft [1.64,].

Has anyone of you encountered the same problem and does anyone of you know how to fix it?

Thanks,
Creator

When does this error happen? Are you trying to join a server? If so, that server wants you to have CC 1.64 installed, not CC 1.7.

Nope it's when I have used CC 1.65 and now I try to upgrade to CC 1.7.

Have you tried to run it in a clean MC profile? Also, try moving/deleting the CC config.

How do you delete the CC config?

Forgot to say thet I have other CC related modes as openperipherals, extraperipherals, moar peripherals, openccsensors, peripherals.

Are you running OpenPeripheral? If so, that is the problem. FWIW, I received that exact same error message due to OpenPerihperal - removing OpenPeripheral fixed it for me. Apparently, even the latest dev build isn't CC1.7 compatible either. If you need OpenPeripheral you'll need to stick with CC1.65 until OpenPeripheral updates.

EDIT: tested latest dev build of OpenPeripheral

In the same directory in which the /mods folder lies there is a folder called /configs in which you will find a ComputerCraft.cfg file. Also, could you maybe list all the mods/file that are in the /mods folder?

Wouldn't it be simpler to just provide the crash log?

Though I reckon Dog's hit the nail on the head - you've got some other mod which relies on a certain version of ComputerCraft being installed.

The problem was with OpenPeripherals. I removed it and everything worked fine.
