About Mining Turtles and Tekkit Classic

Hi, I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to ask about it, but, me and some friends are playing tekkit classic and no matter what we do we can't make the mining turtle to deposit its items on the chest, we tried putting the chest in all possible positions and no results, I had read somewhere else that is might be that the "chest dropping" was not implemented in the version tekkit classic uses, and it is possible to add that by programs, if that is the case, how cn I do it? where can i find such program? I just want it to type "excavate 5" and it keeps putting the items in the chests.

Tekkit Classic is incredibly outdated. Turtles in that version are unable to interact with inventories. You would have to update to a more recent version to gain that functionality.

Some friends and me have also been playing tekkit classic recently and have run into similar problems. We have got around this using redpower Transposers between the turtle and the chest, with the turtle sending a redstone pulse to the transposer making it pull items out. Here is a screenshot of this system in action
