Is there a way for turtles to go through doors?

It seems I always get the "movement obstructed" message. Is there a way around this? It does not matter if its a normal door or a 6x3 garage door from carpenter blocks.

I don't like the idea of having open wall or ceiling elements in my base for the turtles to use.

Garage doors leave invisible blocks that will impede turtle movement. Best solution I found is adding one block big piston door that turtle can open for himself.

Another way is to have no door at all and have the turtle break through walls and fix them after theirselves, if thats an option.

Or you build some gate that allows the turtle to pass. piston contraptions or similar.

Thanks. I think I'll go with the piston method.

I suggest the Tinker's Drawbridge.
