Basically, when I try to use turtle.getItemDetail of the error attempt to call nil
Even the examples of wiki does not work.

What version are you using for ComputerCraft?

Searching the changelogs found that turtle.getItemDetails is only addtional to minecraft 1.7.10
Is there any function that does the same thing?

Unfortunately, no. You can dig the item, and compare it to another item in your inventory, but other than that, turtles were blind at that point.

Sadly that's not really possible then. You could determine what type the block might but it will never be as accurate as turtle.getItemDetail.
