Hey minecrafters I just tried to install Project Red Mod for 1.6.2 (yes I know outdated but im happy lol) and something errored out

Um… if Project Red is crashing, why are you asking on the Computercraft Forums?

I've heard of Project Red shipping an old version of the CC API, which causes crashes, but I don't know if this is your problem or if it's fixable.

Update. Unless someone knows some trick, its unlikely it will work.
The people from Project Red won't help (I'd guess) if you are using an old version

Scala is a programming language that runs on the Java Virtual Machine. It is not something you should worry about, and you shouldn't need to download it yourself. Report this issue to Project Red instead.
