I am trying to use a computer as a light controller. I want to use the maximum number of sides, to use the fewest amount of computers with a modem and disk drive on each. Can I place either a modem or red wire connection on the front of a computer? I am on the Tekkit platform, Computercraft version 1.58

Thanks in Advance.

You can also attach modems to disk drives, if that helps.

No, that does not help because the modem does not work then!
But it does work if it is on top of the screen of a computer.

What i meat was: if you have a computer next to a disk drive with a modem on it, you can not use the modem.
You can connect the disk drive and the computer with wired modems. However Wombaticus maybe was talking about wireless modems and they can not be attached to a network.

you can make your wired network then hook it up to a computer with a wirelessmodem running repeat http://www.computercraft.info/wiki/Repeat
